I hope Bo brings back everthing that Osborne had when he was there Not just a great def.and the walk on but the off,and what the did in practice bring back the ref.Because when Osborne was there they hardly got called for penalty under Callahan they were one of the most penalize teams.

I'm not sure Cally's teams were all that bad when it came to penalties. Nevertheless, the difference was that Osborne's teams were well-prepared in all phases of the game. They didn't make many mistakes and beat themselves. The only way to beat them was physically.

Face it, the Huskers were poorly coached in nearly all phases of the game. Sure the O had it's moments. But, I think that was based on the present talent. I still think Cally blew some games with play calling (in particular last year)
I think it would be very difficult to go back to Old School O, and I am not so certain that is the right thing to do.
If for one thing, the Callahan Dark Ages proved that top talent wants to play in a pro style type attack. Callahan got the Big Talent, but could nothing with it because of his coaching shortcomings.
The present talent could run a different Offense like the spread, or spread option. But, the Osborne type offense is gone.
However, I expect the offense to be even better next year! And, I bet my house the Husker D will move up at least 50 spots from its present rank ;)
Man, I can't wait for the next 9 months to go by as the Huskers are reborn in 2008!
